ANGELS IN MOTION

Angels in Motion started with one woman’s efforts to rescue her child from the disease of substance use disorder (SUD). While searching the streets of Kensington (a neighborhood in Philadelphia), for her son, Carol Rostucher saw that many other children and loved ones were suffering and lost as well.

Carol began to open her heart to the streets and spread her love where it was needed the most. Her efforts included treating each person as an individual and offering her genuine compassion and understanding, and providing “blessing bags” which contain food, snacks, clothing, hygiene products and resource information to obtain help when they are ready.

Santa Barbara Running Association

Promoting and supporting the Santa Barbara running community since 1948, the Santa Barbara Running Association’s vision is to spread the joy of running. Sponsoring first-class races and special events, we bring the running community together by celebrating local athlete’s achievements and development from beginner level through elite.

We encourage everyone to become involved with what running has to offer and to give back to and enhance Santa Barbara as a whole.

SBRA has provided critical support to many valuable local running-related programs including Junior High School Cross Country Programs, Special Olympics of Santa Barbara Track and Field athletes, maintenance of the Elings Park running trails, and the Dos Pueblos, San Marcos, and Santa Barbara High School Cross Country programs. The SBRA brings the running community together at numerous events including Resolution Run 10K & 5K, Semana Nautica trail race, Fox Fall XC and the Santa Barbarba Half Marathon, as well as community runs and socials.  With a mission to seek, engage and support the next generation of runners the SBRA provides youth running programs, free local race entries for its Junior GP members, while also partnering with local youth organizations to provide young runners with shoes and equipment they need to ensure that economic need was not a barrier to their ability to begin a lifelong love of running and healthy lifestyle.
